Good questions. Simple answers.
What happens with a reduction over 100%?
The result can cross zero. Decreasing 100 by 150% gives −50. For ordinary shopping discounts, use the Discount Calculator.
Does a 20% increase undo a 20% decrease?
No. Decreasing 100 by 20% gives 80. Increasing 80 by 20% gives 96, because the reference value has changed.
